Natural England Management Report - February 2026

We, along with many other stakeholders, have been working on this report with Natural England for almost two years. As the statutory body responsible for the SSSI under the Wildlife and Countryside Act, Natural England decided that measures needed to be taken to more carefully manage the SSSI. An ecological assessment was undertaken and measures to alleviate recreational disturbance were considered from all parties involved. The report (downloadable below) sets out those measures, some of which the Friends of Adur SSSI is working to implement.
